Hawaii Real Estate License Renewal Requirements
You must complete 10 hours of commission-approved continuing education (CE) every two years to renew your Hawaii real estate license, as a salesperson or broker. Four of the ten hours must be a commission approved Hawaii core course.

The 10 CE hours must be completed during the two-year period preceding the renewal application. Licenses must be renewed prior to November 30 of each even-numbered year (e.g., 2006, 2008, 2010).

Our online courses offer an ultra-convenient way to fulfill your CE requirement. Available anywhere you have Web access, the online courses involve reading, listening to summary reviews of key facts, then taking short quizzes to assess your retention of the significant points.

All of your scores are recorded in our Web-based system. Upon passing the final exam online (70% is passing), ProSchools will immediately send you your certificate of completion.

To renew, send your completed renewal form to the Real Estate Branch (REB), proof of completing 10 CE hours, along with the license fee. Do NOT send the original course certificates of completion. You’ll want to keep the originals in a safe place in case you’re ever audited.
