What are the required continuing education hours for Oregon
appraisal licenses?
Oregon appraisal licenses must be renewed every two years. You must complete 28 hours of continuing education during each renewal cycle. Seven CE hours must be USPAP. USPAP hours are included in the total hours requirement – not in addition to it.  

Are the courses approved for credit?
Yes, all of our courses are approved for credit.

Can I take the online courses from various computers and locations?
Yes, all of our courses are set up for students to access their courses from any computer that is compatible.

How does an online course work?
You take the course at your own pace and on your own time. You can take the course in small increments or all at once. If you exit the course, then log back in at a later time, you start back in the lesson that you had been taking.

How long will it take me to complete an online course?
Each course has been approved for a specific number of hours. Depending on the pace you review the course, it may take you less or more time to complete the course.

Can I use the 15-hour USPAP course as my 7-hour USPAP update course?
The 7-hour USPAP course is required as part of your 28-hour continuing education requirement to renew your license/certificate. The 15-hour USPAP course can NOT serve as a substitute for the 7-hour USPAP update course requirement. However, you MAY take BOTH classes and count them as 22 hours of continuing education.

What is required to complete an online course?
You need to review all of the course content and pass a final exam.

How do I receive a certificate of completion?
At the end of the online courses, you are able to print a copy of your completion certificate. Remember to print a copy for your records. At the end of the live class sessions, you will receive a completion certificate.
