2008-05-17 10:29:08 - ProSchools, a national provider of mortgage education,
has received approval in Texas for four continuing education courses.
ProSchools, a leader in online
mortgage education, has developed comprehensive Texas mortgage education
courses, designed to meet continuing education requirements. Courses cover mortgage lending
laws, concepts and practices involved in the mortgage industry.
Texas mortgage brokers and loan officers are required to complete 15 hours of
continuing education every two years, including 8 hours of Core or Ethics
training.
Core training topics focus on RESPA, TILA, ECOA, the Mortgage Broker License
Act and regulation, other compliance issues, loan origination-related math,
predatory lending, and deceptive trade practices.
Ethics training deals with the usage and customs among members of the mortgage
lending industry involving moral and professional duties.
All ProSchools education courses are approved for Core
and/or Ethics content.
"ProSchools prides itself in providing the required training that our
customers need in a convenient format," says Deanne Gillock, Regulatory
Director for ProSchools. "More and more states are requiring education for
mortgage brokers and loan officers, in an effort to combat mortgage fraud. We
are committed to helping Texas mortgage professionals meet these new
regulations in order to renew their mortgage license."
