National Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) Approves ProSchools as Course Provider

ProSchools Receives Approval to become NMLS Course Provider

ProSchools, a national mortgage education provider, recently received provider approval from the National Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS).

“We are excited to be approved by the NMLS as a course provider,” says Deanne Gillock, Regulatory Director for ProSchools. “We’ve been training loan originators for years and worked hard to provide courses that will assist loan originators in obtaining or maintaining their license. One of our goals is to develop useful courses that will really benefit the mortgage professional.”

The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act) requires all education courses offered to loan originators be reviewed and approved by the NMLS. This applies to both prelicense and continuing education courses.

A prerequisite to offering NMLS courses is that all prospective providers must first register and be granted approval as an “NMLS Approved” course provider. In order for ProSchools to be approved, five criteria had to be met. The criteria included:
