ProSchools Courses meet the Maryland requirements for necessary mortgage education.
ProSchools Online Training Available in Maryland for Mortgage Education
ProSchools, a national provider of mortgage education, is now offering continuing mortgage education in Maryland.
Maryland requires each covered employee of a licensee to complete 20 hours of continuing education each renewal period if they have been an employee of any licensee less than 10 years immediately preceding the licensing period. The current licensing period ends December 31, 2009.
According to Maryland’s Commissioner of Financial Regulation, an employee who has been a covered employee with any licensee for the immediately preceding 10 years must complete 2 hours of Ethics, 2 hours of Maryland Law Update, and 2 hours of Federal Law Update.
All "covered" employees are defined as the manager of each branch office maintained by a licensee and all employees who have the authority to accept loan application, directly contact borrowers to negotiate or advise regarding loan terms must satisfy the continuing education requirement:
"ProSchools’ courses are designed to ensure all Maryland mortgage originators meet their annual requirements with ease,” says Stephanie Packineau, Marketing Manager for ProSchools. "More and more states like Maryland require education for mortgage originators in an effort to combat mortgage fraud. ProSchools is committed to helping Maryland mortgage professionals meet these annual requirements."
