Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) recently approved ProSchools as an education provider for mortgage education.
ProSchools,
a leader in online mortgage education, has developed comprehensive mortgage
education courses for Illinois, designed to meet the Illinois continuing
education requirements. Courses cover Truth in Lending Act, Credit Scoring, and Federal Mortgage Lending Laws.
Illinois law requires a registered residential mortgage loan originator to
complete annually six hours of continuing education in residential mortgage
finance and related topics.
The residential mortgage licensee that employs a loan originator must assure
that the loan originator meets the CE requirement.
The renewal process takes approximately 4-6 weeks, once the agency receives a
complete package. A complete package consists of a completed, signed
application with a current sponsor and fee payment. If a deficiency is noted
the loan originator must submit all the requested documentation.
ProSchools is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional
Regulation (IDFPR) as an Illionois mortgage education provider.
"ProSchools prides itself in providing the required training that our
customers need in a convenient format," says Steve O’Toole, Regulatory
Director for ProSchools. "More and more states like Illinois are requiring
education for loan originators, in an effort to combat mortgage fraud. We are
committed to helping Illinois mortgage professionals meet these new regulations
in order to renew their mortgage license."
ProSchools offers online real estate education, insurance education, mortgage lending
education, and property appraisal.
