Meet Mississippi Mortgage Broker License Requirements With ProSchools

Mississippi Mortgage Broker License Requirements
Mississippi law requires loan originators submit an application to become a loan originator. Qualifications include being employed by only one Mississippi licensed or registered mortgage company and passing a background check. There are no initial education requirements to become a registered loan originator.

To work as a mortgage loan originator in Mississippi, you need to:

  1. Complete and sign an original Initial Loan Originator Registration Application. Include a non-refundable registration fee in the amount of $100.
  2. Submit a completed fingerprint card. The fingerprints must be made by a law enforcement agency. You must use the fingerprint card provided by the Mississippi Department of Banking. Contact the Department by fax 601-359-3557 or by email danielle@bdcf.state.ms.us to request a card.
