Louisiana requires all licensed residential mortgage loan originators (includes mortgage lenders and brokers) to complete ten hours of continuing education each year prior to the December 1 renewal date. Two of those hours must cover the RMLA orientation and four of the remaining hours must be courses approved by the Mortgage Bankers Association or the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.
