*Why are some states on both lists? – To maximize the time loan originators spend on the required 20 hours of mortgage education, ProSchools develops the course work to include state-specific hours in the 20 hour courses regardless of the state requiring state-specific hours. This allows the student to prepare to pass the state portion of the NMLS exam while satisfying their education requirement.
