What are the required CE hours for renewing Washington state
insurance licenses?
Washington state insurance licenses must be renewed every two years. Currently, each resident life, disability, property or casualty insurance agent, broker or solicitor is required to present 24 hours of approved continuing education at license-renewal time.
What is the CE requirement for long-term care?
Licensees who sell long-term care insurance are required to take an approved six-hour course for initial licensing. A four-hour long-term care course is required for all subsequent renewals. Both courses’ hours also count towards the total 24 CE credit hours required.
How do I receive a certificate of completion?
ProSchools guarantees to issue your certificate within 24 hours of course completion if you complete a workbook course. All of our online courses allow you to print out your certificate of completion immediately upon completion.
How long should I keep my certificates of completion?
Licensees must retain each certificate of completion for a minimum of three years.
What’s a passing score on a final exam?
70% or better.
What happens if I fail my final exam?
If you fail to pass the final for a ProSchools course, an alternate final exam will be issued until you do pass—at no charge to you.
Is anyone exempt from the CE requirement?
Yes. Non-residents are exempt.
