What are continuing education requirements for renewing my Illinois insurance license?
Illinois insurance licensees who renew prior to January 1, 2010 are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education credits to maintain their license. All resident producers whose license is due for renewal on or after January 01, 2010 will be required to complete 24 hours of CE: three of the 24 hours must consist of classroom ethics.

Are there any requirements to sell Long Term Care Insurance?
Yes. To sell, solicit and negotiate Traditional Long Term Care (TLTC) in Illinois you must have an Accident and Health license and complete a one time training course titled Traditional Long Term Care. The six (6) hour training course can be used for continuing education for resident licensees. The course is specific to Illinois and it is course #09400. Also, to sell, solicit and negotiate Long Term Care Partnership (LTCP) you must complete an Illinois specific course and it is course #09405 which is also six (6) hours and may be used as continuing education for resident producers.

Can I repeat a continuing education course within three years?
