Arizona Insurance Exam Prep Frequently Asked Questions

 

What are the licensing and state exam requirements?
Individuals applying for the following insurance licenses must pass prelicense examinations:

  • Arizona resident insurance producer (except for travel or baggage insurance producers and except for individuals relocating from another state to Arizona within 90 days of cancellation of the other state's license)
  • Arizona resident surplus lines broker (except for Mexican insurance surplus lines broker)
  • All bail bond agents (resident and nonresident)
  • All adjusters (resident and nonresident)

Who administers the examination and how do I schedule it?
Prometric, a national testing provider, will administer the license examination. Before you can test, you must contact Prometric to:

  • Register for your exam by providing your social security number and contact information
  • If you choose, register for Prometric's fingerprinting services
  • Pay the exam fee and, if applicable, the fingerprinting fee
  • Schedule an appointment to take an examination

What is included in the exam prep course?
ProSchools’ exam prep includes lessons, multi-media reviews, interesting exercises, hundreds of practices questions and quizzes. Our program is designed to prepare you to pass your state exam!

What happens if I don't pass my exam?
There is a limit of four attempts to pass an examination within a one-year period. After a fourth unsuccessful attempt, you must wait one year to retake the examination.

The Arizona Department of Insurance regulates the licensing of insurance producers. Visit their website for answers to all of your licensing questions.
