ProSchools' online courses meet your continuing education requirement as mandated by the SAFE Act. Courses contain easy-to-understand lessons, easy access to your instructor, and flexible online learning allowing you to move through the course quickly. Plus, our Customer Support team and your instructor are always here to help you along. Upon course completion ProSchools "banks" your completion record to the NMLS. There is a $1.50 per hour mandatory NMLS-Banking fee that will be added at checkout.
Note: Louisiana requires two hours of NMLS-approved courses taught by either the Mortgage Bankers Association or the National Association of Mortgage Brokers in addtion to the 8 hours of NMLS-approved CE each renewal!
Louisiana Loan Originator Renewal Requirements
10 hours of continuing education must be completed by December 31 of each year. The hours must include at least 3 hours of federal laws and rules; 2 hours of ethics, including fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending issues; and 2 hours of training relating to lending standards for nontraditional mortgage products, i.e., any product that is not a 30-year fixed rate mortgage. In addition, 2 of the continuing education hours must be NMLS-approved courses taught by either the Mortgage Bankers Association or the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

This NMLS-approved 8 Hour SAFE Comprehensive CE course satisfies the hours mandated by the SAFE Act. The SAFE Act requires a minimum of 3 hours of Federal laws and rules; 2 hours of ethics, including fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending issues; and 2 hours of training related to lending standards for nontraditional mortgage products to renew each year.
