Licensing Exam Information

Oregon real estate license applicants must pass a computerized exam administered by PSI, a national testing firm.

Effective July 1, 2011, to register for your examination you must have completed your education and have submitted your license application. Upon completion of your education, ProSchools will promptly alert PSI you are eligible to schedule your examination. Upon ProSchools submitting your information to PSI, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from PSI with important information on how to schedule your examination, including the Candidate Handbook.

To schedule your exam, PSI will require the following:

  1. Personal information - legal name, address, phone, SSN, date of birth
  2. Exam specifics - exam type, preferred date, and test center location
  3. Eligibility letter personal identification number

For more information, visit PSI’s website, which includes exam reservation guidelines, the Candidate Handbook, and a list of all PSI test center locations and hours of operation.

Upon arriving at the test center, you’ll need to show your photo ID to the test administrator. Then a brief online tutorial will familiarize you with the computerized testing system before you answer 200 multiple-choice questions.

You will have five hours to complete the exam. Be sure to attempt to answer every question. A minimum score of 75% is required to pass the real estate exam. Your score will be available immediately. A passing score is valid for one year.
