Continuing Education Requirements

Salesperson Requirements:
Effective November 1, 2011 the requirements to renew is 12 hours of continuing education and a new required 4-hour Montana Core Course for Brokers and Salespersons. ProSchools' 16 Hour MT Salesperson Renewal Package includes the 12 hours of continuing education and 4-hour Core course.

Supervising Broker Requirements:
Effective November 1, 2011 the requirements to renew is 12 hours of continuing education and a new required 4-hour Montana Core Course for Brokers and Salespersons. Supervising brokers must also complete a 4-hour course specifically approved for Supervising Brokers. This course may not be taken by a salesperson and receive continuing education credits. ProSchools' 16 Hour MT Supervising Broker Renewal Package includes the 12 hours of continuing education, including the Supervising Broker course, and the 4-hour Core course.

Property Manager Requirements:
Effective November 1, 2011 the requirements to renew is 12 hours of continuing education and a new required 4-hour Montana Core Course for Property Managers. ProSchools continuing education courses satisfy 12 hours of continuing education. Property Manager licensees must contact the Board of Realty for a list of providers of the 4-hour Core Course for Property Managers. 

Rookie Salespersons and Property Managers (first renewal):
Rookie salespersons and property manager licensees have specific continuing education requirements. Visit the Montana Board of Realty website for information on requirements for rookie salespersons and property manager licensees.
