Continuing Education Requirements
The SAFE Act requires Georgia licensed mortgage loan originators to meet annual continuing education requirements. The minimum continuing education requirements to renew a mortgage loan originator license in Georgia are:
- Complete 8 hours of NMLS-approved continuing education. The education must include a minimum of:
- three hours of federal mortgage law;
- two hours of ethics;
- two hours related to the nontraditional mortgage market place;
- one hour of Georgia mortgage law.
