Continuing Education Requirements
The SAFE Act requires Arizona licensed mortgage loan originators to meet annual continuing education requirements. The minimum continuing education requirements to renew a mortgage loan originator license in Arizona are:
- Complete 8 hours of NMLS-approved continuing education. The education must include a minimum of:
- three hours of federal mortgage law;
- two hours of ethics;
- two hours related to the nontraditional mortgage market place;
- one hour of Arizona mortgage law.
The Responsible Individual for mortgage brokers or mortgage bankers must complete 12 hours of state-approved education to renew the mortgage broker or mortgage banker license.
