Remember your real estate training! Don't forget to give your clients Lead Based Paint Pamphlets if they are buying a house pre-1978. Federal law requires they receive information as many homes had lead based paint which created a lot of health problems.
Lead based paint, dust and soil can be dangerous if not managed properly. It can harm babies before they are born and is dangerous to children under the age of 6. Removing lead based paint improperly can also increase danger to a family.
Contact your state or local agency for more information or call 1-800-424-LEAD for a list of contacts in your area. Make sure you have LBP pamphlets to give to your clients! Talk to your principal broker and consider attending a training on lead based paint dangers.
