Always looking for something new to pass on. The NMLS has put together an Industry Renewals Handbook that is really helpful. In the Handbook are best practices related to the submission of renewals through the NMLS, plus the steps necessary for users to request renewal of their licenses.
Another thing the NMLS has added in the last several weeks is a Renewals Deadline Chart that has mortgage originator CE requirements, license renewal deadlines, and additional requirements for mortgage companies and loan originators. Very helpful, especially since each state can have multiple deadlines for LOs, depending on when and how long they’ve had a mortgage license.
