Debate? What debate?

Are presidential candidates ignoring the mortgage and real estate industries?  It looks like they definitely are!  This was pointed out in a blog post by Richard D. Vetstein, Esq.

President Obama shies away from the issue because of the lackluster success his administration’s programs have had, as well as being unable to affect housing market economic trends in general.

Governor Romney seems to be steering away from the topic as well since many of his proposals will meet stiff political opposition.  Plenty of other things to debate over… let’s just skip on this one for now.

Don’t forget that early on in the campaign, Romney promised to repeal at least part of Dodd-Frank.

The recent Vice Presidential debate also made no mention of our industry.

Isn’t it peculiar that this has been such a “hot button” issue over the last two years… still affects millions of people and businesses… and isn’t even on the table anymore?  Stay tuned, and let’s see who the first will be to tackle this!
