Rhode Island SAFE Exam Clarification

I received an email from the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation a couple days ago, stressing that all loan originators have to take the SAFE exams by 12/31/09. Whether they are new mortgage loan originators or previously licensed prior to 7/31/09, they need to pass the tests and meet NMLS requirements.

We’ve received some good feedback on the test: STUDY

ProSchools recommends for all of its courses, that students go through the test content outlines thoroughly, making sure they understand each topic covered. Study lessons and don’t depend solely on practice exams. In the past when preparing for an exam, I’ve written down important dates, dollar amounts, and specific details that I simply memorize. Develop such a list and go over it everyday. As Paul Gold, ProSchools’ NMLS instructor, says, “If you study thoroughly before you take the exam, you do not have to worry about having to wait 30 days to re-take the test.”
