NMLS Student Survey Results for 3rd Quarter

The NMLS recently put out the 3rd quarter student survey results. Mortgage students are asked questions by NMLS regarding their experience & learning from NMLS-approved providers. The main goal is to learn if providers are offering quality courses, plus it’s a way for NMLS to give providers feedback.

ProSchools tracks feedback on a regular basis, both from the NMLS and our own student surveys at the end of each ProSchools course.  Here are a few things learned from the NMLS survey:

  • Course quality, rigor and interaction went up slightly in 3rd quarter, compared to 2nd quarter.
  • The biggest improvement seemed to be in online instructor-led (YAA!! – ProSchools is in this group!). Student’s perception of interaction and relevancy of assignments and quizzes showed markedly higher results.
  • Biggest area of concern is the webinar courses. Student responses seem to indicate that course materials and assignments/quizzes aren’t always helpful in the learning process.
  • Online-instructor-led courses scored the highest, compared to live classes and webinars, when asked if assignments and quizzes helped with learning and whether courses possessed sufficient difficulty.

Check out the whole survey.
