Finding your way through the NMLS website

Everyone who is in the mortgage loan business needs to be familiar with the NMLS. If you are new to the industry (and maybe not very computer savvy) you might benefit from a walk-through of the NMLS Resource Center website to see what all is there and how to find the things you need.

Here is a tutorial I developed with computer screen shots to help you locate many of the things you'll be needing as you proceed through the licensing process. Once you open the tutorial you can minimize the window, go online to the NMLS website and then refer back and forth from the two to locate the various links and pages and familiarize yourself with the environment.

If you spend ten or fifteen minutes with this you'll be a lot more informed and better prepared to apply for your mortgage originator's license.
