When MLOs are licensed in multiple states they often ask, "What’s the easiest and least expensive way to renew my mortgage license and get all my hours?" The strategy I suggest is to combine curriculum to meet your state requirements. Start by looking at which state mandates the highest number of CE hours and which state requires state-specific hours.
For example, assume you are licensed in Oregon and Arizona. Oregon requires 10 hours of CE for mortgage originators annually. Arizona requires 8 hours per year, including 1 hour state-specific. The easiest and least expensive solution is to buy our 8 hour “AZ SAFE Comprehensive” course and our 2 hour “OR SAFE State Law” course. Your total CE hours taken for both states equals 10 hours.
If instead you purchased the 10 hour "OR SAFE Comprehensive" course, you would still need the 1 hour "Arizona Laws" course, making your total hours 11. The extra hour won't kill you, but if you're like most of the loan originators I've talked to on the phone, you prefer not taking any CE that's not required.
