ProSchools would like to extend a warm welcome to Jim Thompson, the newly appointed Licensing Manager at the Oregon Insurance Division! Jim replaces Margarita Nunez who managed the licensing division for a number of years, and she has moved over to the legislative side of things and will be working closely with (gasp) REGULATORS!! I have known and worked with Margarita for more than 5 years, and will miss her knowledge and “get it done” attitude and ethic. However, I expect great things from her from her new position, and I’m absolutely sure Margarita will be a tremendous asset to the state in her new position!
Mr. Thompson brings a good deal of licensing experience with him, as he has been working with the insurance division for some time now. From my experiences with Jim, I can tell you that he will be a hard-working, knowledgeable and more-than-capable manager. I have found him to be an advocate for the insurance industry and for insurance producers, and this is always a good thing!
If you talk to Jim, please take a moment to welcome him. He will become a great manager, and we will see the licensing division maintain it’s history of leadership in insurance licensing! Congratulations Jim!
