Long-Term Care Insurance Training Update!!

Hello readers!  As hopefully you are aware, Oregon has imposed some new training requirements for all insurance producers that sell long-term care insurance.  We have some news that might help…ProSchools has been approved by the state of Oregon as one of only a few select educational providers authorized to provide the new long-term care insurance training!

We have received our authority to train Oregon and non-resident producers in order to meet the new mandates.  Oregon requires that long term care insurance may not be sold, solicited or negotiated unless a person has completed a one-time, 8 hour initial training course.  In addition, 4 hours of ongoing training must be completed every 24 months after taking the initial course in order to continue transacting long-term care insurance.  Appointing insurers are responsible for ensuring that their producers have completed all the necessary trainings.

We are currently in the process of figuring out the scheduling aspect of our courses, and anticipate having things ready to go within a very short period of time.  We have been approved for all methods of training delivery:  online, classroom and workbook.  Watch the ProSchools website for announcements on dates and times…we’ll be sure to keep you informed!

This is good stuff.  Long-term care insurance is an important product for your clients' financial protection and in meeting their health care needs. ProSchools training programs are state-of-the-art, and we look forward to providing you with this important and necessary training.  Please respond through the comments if you have any questions or concerns, and we will be happy to help!
