Washington Insurance Producer’s Exam NOT Changing!

Contrary to popular belief, the Washington Insurance examination for producers is not changing.  We have received many phone calls from worried Washington insurance licensing candidates telling us that the producer’s exam is changing in Washington effective April 15, 2010.  Why are they saying this?  Because Pearson-Vue, the testing provider for insurance exams in Washington, has some “incomplete” information on their website.  Read on for more!

Many of you have accessed the Pearson-Vue website for information pertaining to the examination, as you should.  It’s always a good idea to see what’s going on regarding the exam and to have as much information as you possibly can.  There’s only one problem- this is what it looks like at their site:

This absolutely gives you the impression that there are changes effective on 4/15/2010.  There aren’t, at least for insurance producers.  The only changes to the test are for those taking a Surplus Lines examination.  There are NO changes for producers, which is a good thing!  So, don’t worry about it!
